TIM8 HA enables fail-safe operation of a TIM8 environment. TIM8 HA provides a quorum-based multimaster high-availability architecture for critical customer environments. This requires an odd number of servers, but at least three instances. TIM8 HA provides an automated rollout for additional servers. The TIM8 cluster created by TIM8 HA provides backup in the event of many failures, such as power failure, network (split-brain) or hardware failure. A prerequisite for the cluster to function is that more than half of the servers are accessible (e.g. 2 out of 3). The TIM8 HA function requires little configuration effort.
